#SleeptoPerform Series: The Benefits of Napping

by

In this fifth video in the #SleeptoPerform series we’ll look at the benefits of napping and the differences between sleeping and napping.

Napping is a once popular practice that has been lost in today’s society. Great minds throughout time such as Benjamin Franklin has used napping to improve their performance and daily function.

It is important to realize that you do not need to nap for a long time in order to reap the benefits. Just a short 20 minute nap can boost alertness and give you the boost you need to finish the day strong.

Napping should be embraced, not looked down upon.

Napping should be embraced, not looked down upon.

In this video I talk about the book “Take a Nap! Change Your Life”. This is one of the best books that I have read in a while. Dr. Sara Mednick does a phenomenal job of making the finer points of sleep very accessible to the reader. In one of the most practical parts of the book, she walks you through case studies of how people in different scenarios can use napping to fit and improve their life. I highly recommend it and you can pick up a copy from Amazon.
