I’m pretty darn good at rationalizing cheats meals and ditching workouts, particularly when I feel celebratory about something. I may have completed a project at work, or it’s just Friday night, but my mind starts to go to the reward center and most often that translates into inconsistency with respect to my goals. I usually seek out approval from my significant other since she doesn’t have similar goals and will indulge with me. Ultimately, it’s on me to be ‘persistenly consistent’ as you said. One thing I need to do is associate something other than food as a reward. Thanks for reminder, Mike.
