In this installment of Ask Dr. Mike, We have Todd Bumgardner back with us to talk about fixing beginner deadlift mistakes. These tips will help you pull more weight and avoid injury. The deadlift is an incredible exercise that will pay you serious dividends in and out of the weight room as long as you do them correctly. It is worth taking the time to master this movement.

A couple years ago I spent 4.5 months with my primary focus on improving my deadlift. I deadlifted every workout, 3 days a week for 4.5 months. I ended up adding 80lbs to my deadlift culminating in deadlifting 500lbs. My overall strength has never been so good.
