  1. Nice points, but you didn’t talk about the differences between the two and the use of antibiotics or growth hormones, which could be transferred to the consumer.

    I’m still torn.

    • That is really a different issue in just because beef is grass-fed, that doesn’t mean they haven’t been given antibiotics. The transfer of antibiotics and hormones used is greatly overstated (based on research that I have seen).

    • One other thing that I don’t think people realize is that antibiotics at some level are needed. Isn’t it cruel to withhold antibiotics from a sick animal just because they are deemed ‘antibiotic free’? Infections happen. The key is preventing antibiotic overuse which I believe the cattle industry as a whole is working to do.
